I used to live in Lakeview the old gas station on the corner by 33 I rented for a short time used to swim at Fox Island all summer long

I camped at this campground for over 50 years. It’s not as nice now than it was in the 60’s and 70’s

We went last week for our first stay at Atwood Lake Campground. Thoroughly impressed with this campground. Excellent facilities, ample trails, large lake, the newly opened camp store has a snack bar and ice cream. We rode bikes from our H loop site to the marina for lunch on Saturday. We will be back. Great job MWS

We’re heading to Indian Lake this weekend. First time there.

Horrible, I Drove through there today (17 May 2024) and the damage was still very evident. It's crazy to see mighty Oaks twisted like pretzels. However, many of the trees are at the beginning state of getting leaves, few they may be, many stripped to bones (I realize that it's early Spring), but big trees with a few branches and leaves is mindboggling. Many of the buildings that were major received major damage, still remain piles of rubble. I couldn't help but notice though, it doesn't appear that everything was looted. I drove by what appeared to be a storage facility, everything is still laying there. Furniture, clothes, family goods, doesn't looked rummaged through at all. God Bless the community of Lakeview and the family of the 2 that lost their lives.

Maumee Bay is one of our favorites. Great biking, and a great place for nature photography. The boardwalk is fantastic during bird migration season. Toledo is nearby and there are some nice attractions there. Everyone has to go to Tony Paco's at least once for a hot dog and to see all the signed buns. In the TV series MASH, Kinger talked about going to Tony Pako's.

Hello again, on our way back from PA, we are coming back and were looking at Ottawa Metro Park in Lima. I remember you all saying that was the 3rd try, but have a backup campgrounds nearby. What would you recommend? We would be landing on a Friday weekend before July 4th. Thanks again and enjoyed watching!

We just got back from our first visit to Rock House and Cedar Falls. Wow! I could have hung out at either spot all day!! Then we went to the lodge just to have a snack and relax in the lobby. We love the Hocking Hills!❤😂

Wanted to say ' Thanks ' for your review of this campground in the city park. We will be heading to the 9/11 Memorial in PA coming from IL. We are doing a 1-night stay on a Saturday night in June and knew a city park would be easier than trying to get a state park site on a Saturday. Thanks again and happy camping from us to you!

We are from Indianapolis Indiana, just went to Indian lake today. It was very nice. We are going back possibly next weekend lol. Our home away from home is Whitewater Memorial state park in Liberty Indiana. If you ever get out that way you should definitely check it out and also 2 other parks connected by Brookville Reservoir

When my son was a little guy (he's 41), Lake Hope was our home campground. When I lived in Columbus, I would visit my mom in Akron and stay at Portage Lakes one or two times a month. Really liked that campground. Now, it's a tossup between East Harbor and Kelley's Island. Watching your videos, I have a long list of places to try!

I was at work at the time of this tornado on Thursday , the destruction of the EF3 is bout an hour 30 minutes from my home town. Whats terrifying is the fact that i was at work at the time close to Marengo, fortunately not much damage was done in my home town Aside from the little village next to my hometown, that village had a bunch of broken trees down powerlines, mild damage to buildings. I hope good fortune comes to all who lost everything by that devastating tornado.

My heart goes out to the families affected by this tornado and I also want to extend my apologies for showing up at Indian Lake the view the eclipse unaware of the catastrophe that unfolded weeks before

After watching a couple of your videos over the past couple of months we have book site #11 Wilton Wood for this July. This will be first time camping in Ohio. We usually camping at Indiana state parks😊 Thanks for the great videos.

Stumbled across your channel as I was looking for info on Hueston Woods. Then, I discovered that you had a review for our home campground, Ouabache. Ouabache is our frontyrard as we live on the county road just outside the park. Thank you for coming over to spend some time at the park and checking out why we love our quiet park so much.

We love Ouabache! We spend a week there every summer, we love the bison herd, and we love riding our bikes into town for breakfast and ice cream (not on the same trip, usually)

Lake is fine to swim in. With any lake. Shower afterwards and dont drink the water. Grew up here never got sick even when the algae blooms were going on. In it every year with my kids no issues. In town at k.c geiger park is a nice 18 hole putter golf, and disc golf course.

On some of the ODNR webpages, the newer camper cabins are also called "Sherman Cabins." OK for a couple but still have to walk to the latrines and showers.

I'm from Indiana and drove through this area yesterday (not knowing this happened) and was taken back by the extent of the damage. To see in person what this community is going through is heartbreaking.

Just bought this exact set! It cost me just over 300 now though. But all the pillowcases and shams have zippers now and it came with a sleep mask which made me very happy!

Prayers are for all the families. The states known for tornadoes really need to stop allowing mobilehome living.

I live on orchard Island and my granddaughter was home at the time. With what i understand we are the only one with a basement?? My granddaughter is fine and i am beyond amazed how many ppl has come together from far and wide to help our community!! This really sucks but i feel blessed. Blessed that we have a basement for my granddaughter to get into and blessed we are alive as everyone didnt make it.. Lets keep those folks we lost and those who loved them in our prayers.

We live in DeGraff and have stayed out of the area while police and government efforts have continued but have donated what we can in the meantime. But I have spent my entire life taking that 15 minute drive up there and spending time with friends driving on the lake. Seeing the devastation is truly gut wrenching. What people forget when seeing the damage is even though it looks like trash, that trash contains someone’s entire life. Their pictures, small things that hold memories, children’s drawings that they have held onto, objects that someone used every day that they spent their hard earned money on before they left their home that we take for granted. Now all gone. I’m so grateful to be part of a community that comes together like this. But this community has lost 2 students within the last 4 months and now gets hit like this. I am just praying for peace for all of these individuals and hoping the support continues until everyone is back to having a roof over their head.

My home was splattered like that with mud and crushed leaves after a VERY near miss tornado 25 years ago in Louisiana. Insurance replaced my roof and broken windows from giant hail. Only 300 feet away several buildings were destroyed including our bank & feed/hardware store. Sorry this happened to Ohio. It`s so scary.
